Our Gunsmith
Our workshop here at Oakhurst Gun Works is run by a second-generation armourer, Ben Hosmer.
Ben is a dual trade qualified Mechanical Engineer/fitter, machinist and wood machinist who has a passion for firearms. From a very young age, Ben has been in and around the firearm world thanks to his late Grandfather and OGW founder, Noel Christopher.
Specialising in custom builds, barrel work and repairs, all jobs are completed with the highest professionalism and care.
Services we offer include:
- General cleaning and maintenance of firearms and components.
- Custom work such as rebarreling, rechambering, trigger adjustments, stock modifications, recoil pad fitting, scope mounting, muzzle threading and custom muzzle breaks.
- Restoration services are available for preserving a firearms historical value, we also offer hot bluing of chrome moly and stainless.
- Firearm deactivations, permanently making a firearm inoperable for safety or keepsake reasons.
- Annual firearm inspections for personal, business and government agencies.
